COMPOSITION: Each 5ml contains phocoldeine 5mg - 0.5% W/V. Also contains benzoic acid, ethanol (alcohol), tartrazine, amaranth, sunset yellow and sucrose. ACTION: Phocoldeine is a centrally acting cough suppressant. Unlike codeine, there is little or no metabolism of phocoldeine to morphine and this may contribute to its lack of addictive potential. For the relief of a dry cough. ADMINISTRATION: Adults 5-10ml, Children 2 - 5 yrs 1-2ml, Children 5-10 yrs 3-5ml. 3 times a day or as directed. Under 2 years as directed by a physician.
