McGloins Pty Ltd is an Entrepreneurial Sales & Marketing Operation

that was established in 1932 by Joe McGloin an Australian pharmacist.

The Company flourished and established itself as one of the foremost Distributors to Retail Pharmacy and has remained that way for over 70 years. The company has changed ownership twice since its conception becoming part of W.H. Soul Pattinson (one of Australia’s Largest Pharmaceutical Groups) in 1974 when it was purchased from the McGloin Family and most recently in April 1999 when purchased by the Barnes Family and merged with their own business that had been dealing with Pharmacy since 1996.

Our main focus will continue in the Healthcare / OTC Market as we currently deal with approximately 4,500 pharmacies and all major Pharmaceutical Wholesalers / Buying groups. We have also expanded into other areas such as the Variety Stores, Grocery Chains and Export. We believe our future rests with providing our customers with Quality Products / Brands and delivering value whilst maintaining our high service levels.

TED BARNES - CHAIRMAN

The overall financing of the company rests with Ted who has had over 30 years experience in operating his own Engineering and Property Development companies throughout the Australasian region as well as Senior Management Roles with Large Multinationals. His experience in both manufacturing and importing of a large range of diverse products for the Australian market is a major asset to McGloins.

WARREN HATFIELD – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Warren has held senior marketing positions in Shulton, Incolabs, Addis as well as being C.E.O of Bronnley and Faberge. In a marketing career of over twenty years he has been responsible for such products as Brut 33, Old Spice, Innoxa, Blue Stratos and Wisdom. Warren has always had a close affiliation to the Pharmacy trade with his wife Jennifer owning a retail Pharmacy business since 1970.

STUART BARNES – SALES DIRECTOR

Stuart is a qualified IT Specialist and Teacher. His experience in developing business systems and procedures over a number of years in the IT industry as well as his experience in customer relations during these years allows him to bring both a technical and business oriented approach to the company.
